Job Description

We are a family owned and run cattle station approx 500km North-east of Alice Springs near the Davenport Range park. As part of our operation we run a small store servicing local aboriginals and passing tourists.
We are currently in peak mustering season so we are in need of an energetic, responsible, mature and patient person to assist with the shop and homestead area.

Your day will start at 8am with the opening of the shop processing forms and using our computerised database to complete financial reports. Throughout the day you will be required to do a range of tasks from serving customers, re-stocking shelves and cleaning.

The role will not be limited to the shop you will also be required to assist in the day-to-day running of the homestead this might range from mowing the lawn or sweeping the decks to washing the dishes or looking after the children.

The ideal candidate will also have a passion and superior ability to cook on a large scale, we have many station workers on the land at present and they need a hearty meal at the end of the day.

You must have impeccable English as your first language, communication in such a remote part of Australia can sometimes be difficult, you must be able to learn new skills fast and efficiently, we have not got the time for training.

Self contained shared accommodation is provided and meals are cooked twice daily. We have some workers at present so you won’t be alone.

This is Rural Australia do not be mistaken - there is no telephone signal and we are 140km from the nearest town. But you will experience some of the best country living in the world!
