This Division of Mental Health Service is one of the largest Acute Mental Health Services in Queensland and is a statewide leader in clinical care, service models, teaching, research and telemedicine. The Division has direct links with the University of Queensland via joint academic and clinical appointments, providing teaching to students from the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University and the Australian Catholic University.
The Division has six major service components and an annual budget of $20 million.

There is a staff establishment of 274 Full Time Equivalents with 20% medical, 60% nursing and 20% allied health and other support staff.

The ideal candidates would be suitably qualified Psychiatry Registrars wishing to expand their experience in a supportive dynamic environment. The suitable applicant will be available for a late 2008 start for a minimum 12 month period with a view to extend.
