A number of positions are available for a qualified Psychiatrist to work in the Continuing Care Team
The role is required to provide a strong leadership and strategic direction to provide high quality service provision as part of an integrated mental health service comprising of in-patient and community services.

Position requirement of the Consultant Psychiatrist are to support the Clinical Director, Continuing Care Services to:
* Assume responsibility to direct and co-ordinate clinical service delivery to achieve optimal quality of care and clinical outcomes
* Ensure the delivery of high quality of care to consumers and carers through the adherence by the multi-disciplinary staff to established professional standards and protocols
* Support and ensure the maintenance and development of best practice within the Division of Mental Health and identify opportunities for innovation and improved service delivery
* Maximize the effective use of resources across the Division of Mental Health by providing strong leadership and service linkages
* Assist in strategic development and management of the service in line with Queensland Health policy.
