Job Description
A Station Mechanic is required for a large, family owned cattle property situated South of Broome. The property is approximately 380,000 hectares and runs 15,000 head of cattle.
The Station Mechanic is required to service, maintain and repair station plant and machinery including Toyota Landcruiser utes, Lister diesel motors, Davey pumps, heavy earthmoving equipment including Caterpillar graders, Isuzu and Hino trucks, small machinery such as a ride on lawn mowers and the station generator (power supply). Other duties will include the organisation of the station workshop and assisting the Bore mechanic with servicing water infrastructure.
It is essential that applicants have good mechanical knowledge and a current driver's licence.
Casual, part-time or full-time work available for partner (if applicable) dependent on experience, skills and ability.
Both single and partnered furnished and airconditioned accommodation is provided in a pleasant homestead area which includes a swimming pool.
Personal animals are permitted after negotiation with the employer.
All food is provided. Wages will be negotiated according to skills, abilities and experience.
