$297 707 p.a. - $389 164 p.a remuneration package range depending on qualifications and seniority. Work within 40 mins of Brisbane as Staff Specialist or Career Medical Officer in Accident & Emergency Medicine at this ACEM accredited hospital in expanding semi-urban region.
This 250+ bed hospital offers a outstanding opportunity for experienced Emergency Medicine specialists and medical officers to live the Australian dream - close to the city and the Brisbane international airport yet on the coast where you can swim any time of the year. Consultants appointed to the Emergency Department are rostered in a two-shift system that includes both day and evening shifts with overnight on-call responsibilities.
The busy hospital is just 40 minutes from Brisbane and only ten minutes walk from the seafront - safe, sandy beaches and scenic parks span with 22km of coastline and you share this with 50,000 of the luckiest residents in Australia. Recreation is always close by with the golf course, ample opportunities for water sports with the area being popular for wake boarding , windsurfing and jet skiing as well as swimming and fishing. It is just a short trip across the bay to Moreton Island Nature Reserve, famous for its diving, snorkelling and fishing.

Are you one of the right people for these roles? It is mandatory that you have either 10 years post grad experience in Emergency Medicine or an international post graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine or, ideally, FACEM. Ideally, you will also be keen to be involved and contribute to the qualitative development of the service including clinical audit, professional development and research activities; you must have the capacity to provide supervision and teaching to junior medical staff and medical students; and be able to demonstrate sound communication skills with patients and other members of the clinical team including specialist colleagues, registrars, junior medical staff and nursing staff.
