A Bore Mechanic is required for an extremely large, company-owned cattle station located in the Camooweal District of the Barkly Tablelands. The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all infrastructures at the 130 watering points on the property. Infrastructure includes bores, troughs and associated water lines. All bores are equipped with mono pumps therefore it is essential that you are able to pull and repair this equipment. Duties will also include keeping the bore shed clean and tidy at all times, carting all old gear and rubbish home from bores and disposing of properly and assessing what spare parts need to be ordered. An 8 tonne Mitsubishi truck which is fully equipped is provided. It is essential that you have a HR licence and your own reliable transport. Both single and couple accommodation is available. Single accommodation comes in the form of air-conditioned and furnished single persons' quarters. Couple accommodation comes in the form of a furnished and air-conditioned 2-bedroom cottage. Keep is provided. No personal animals are permitted. Casual work for partner (if applicable) may be negotiated. Wages start at $132/day gross and can only increase. The successful applicant will commence ASAP.
