This Radiologist position is in urban Brisbane, and may be suitable to an internationally trained Radiologist. It is based in a referral hospital with a workforce of around 3500 that has recently completed an extension expansion and upgrade programme worth about $140 million; evidence of the growing population demand and investment in health in Queensland.

In this Staff Specialist Radiologist Medical Imaging you will provide a full range of diagnostic imaging services including assisting the Director in the areas of clinical quality, cost efficiency and service sharing. You will be required to work routine hours, plus the after hours and on-call roster covering 24 hours.

If appropriate, the role may commence as a locum appointment, the progress to contract.

The hospital’s medical imaging programme includes digital radiography, ultrasounds, magnetic resonance, CT angiography and nuclear medicine. The department performs more than 70,000 examinations annually in a PACS environment.

You will join a team including radiologists, radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists and physicians, plus specialist nursing staff and administrative and operational support personnel.

To be eligible for this role you will need FRANZCR or an equivalent post graduate qualification and experience to enable registration with the Medical Board of Queensland as a Specialist.
