Job Description
If you are looking to join a major service in NZ, this large service on the North Island may be of interest for you. Serving a population of almost half a million people, you will join a mental health team providing services including:
* District mental health services
* Maori mental health, and alcohol and drug services
* Pacific mental health, and alcohol and drug services
* Regional forensic psychiatry services
* Regional work rehabilitation service
* Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS).
As a consultant you will provide effective clinical leadership in interaction, planning and collaboration with multi-disciplinary team, be involved in teaching, supervision and maintenance of professional standards and be on-call from home for community and inpatient services.
Your normal hours include 32 clinical and 8 non-clinical (meetings, teaching, liaison etc) plus the on-call rotation. Salary package is based on experience includes a salary that is calculated to cover the on-call hours plus NZ$16,000 reimbursed for your CME expenses.
To be eligible for this role you will need to be a Medical Practitioner with post-graduate qualifications in Psychiatry and relevant experience.
