Job Description
In this Australian medical job you will be a key member of the team at this regional hospital. On site services include General Medical, Surgical, Aged Care and Obstetric/Gynaecology plus Specialists visit regularly to provide General Surgery, Psychiatric Services, Paediatrician and Chest Physician to the local population of around 8,500. The town is 90km from nearest major tertiary hospital of 450 beds in a quality city with international airport.
The town is situated North Queensland is one of Australia’s richest sugar cane, mango and melon production areas. Rivers, creeks, mangrove-lined estuaries and sandy beaches also make the area ideal for fishing, crabbing and watersports. Housing is affordable and there is a good range of preschool and primary education facilities.
Gross earnings will be from $4525.30 - $5091.80 per fortnight plus there is an annual remote allowance of almost $14,000. You may be suitable for this position if you have:
- registration with/or eligible for current registration with the Medical Board of Queensland
- a recognised advanced skills qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Proceduralist) would be an advantage
