Job Description

Our Client is seeking applications from qualified Anaesthetists who are skilled in:
• pre-operative assessment and continuing management of patients.
• providing anaesthesia services.
• supervising anaesthesia trainees.
• supervising the anaesthetic component of the Day Surgery Unit, including pre-anaesthetic assessment.
• carrying out duties in the following areas at the discretion of the Director of Anaesthetics:
o Acute resuscitation services for medical, surgical and trauma emergencies.
o A consultative service in respect of pre-anaesthetic assessment and management.

Selection for these positions requires that you can demonstrate:
• clinical experience and skills in Anaesthesia, for a wide range of procedures and surgery.
• post fellowship experience in paediatric and neonatal anaesthesia.
• willingness to participate in teaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education including maintenance of personal knowledge and skills.
• ability to work as a Team Leader or Member in a multidisciplinary approach to service provision.
• understanding and commitment to the principles of quality improvement and to the principles of hospital accreditation.
