Expressions of interest are sought from Civil Engineers with specific knowledge of water or wastewater projects, if you are a capable Project Engineer from a major contracting background, please read on for further information on this permanent opportunity in New South Wales.
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for directing on site operations, managing the work of other Engineers and subcontractors on packages of work, planning site construction activities alongside Senior Site staff and Foremen. This work will involve you from the early stage of the project lifecycle in planning site construction activities and ensuring resources are in place to deliver work on time.
You will report to the Project Manager and ensure that he is kept aware of all project related issues and non conformities that arise.
To be considered for this contract it is essential that you hold a technical qualification in civil engineering and have spent time working on water engineering projects. You must be capable of playing a highly professional role on major projects.
It is essential that you are conversant with the skills required to work on major water engineering projects from a civil construction perspective, your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting a safe and environmentally responsible work culture
- Fostering an incident free site
participating in design documentation and management
- Managing cost control and preparing monthly financial reports for head office
- Managing budgets and highlighting areas of concern to senior management
- Manage subcontractor performance, approving payments
