As a Project Engineer, you will be a key person in the expanding Brisbane office of a major player in the delivery of ground engineering projects across a wide range of industry sectors. This role is a challenging position that demands skills in the project management and commercial aspects of ground engineering but also site related skills and hands on knowledge.

The right candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of drilling, piling and grouting projects having worked on bridge, highway, rail or major building projects. It is essential that you are able to troubleshoot and gain the working respect of machine operatives and site supervisors who will look to you for direction and a calm head when on site trouble shooting is required.

A major element of this position is the management and planning of projects, your duties in this area will include but not be limited to:
Understanding the scope of contracts and commercial obligations
Working closely with clients through all stages of projects to completion
Assisting in the forward planning of projects
Identifying and managing specialist subcontractors
Working with senior management in the recruitment of specialist Engineers
Working with the Estimating Manager to provide information for bids and proposals

In addition to strong technical skills and knowledge, it is essential that the successful applicant is able to demonstrate strong team working skills and personality, developing effective working relationships with Construction Supervisors, Site Operatives and Clients.

To be considered for this position it is essential that you hold a technical qualification in civil or geotechnical engineering and have a career history to date that includes time spent working for a specialist ground engineering contractor.
