Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon
Melbourne Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking an outstanding appointee for the position of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon in order to assist in this busy Melbourne based practice.
Melbourne Maxillofacial Surgery is located in the leafy suburb of Hawthorn, a peaceful and attractive residential area only seven kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Hawthorn is very close to some of Melbourne’s most popular shopping and restaurant districts and it is quick and easy to reach the city centre and neighbouring suburbs on public transport.
The practice is equipped with two treatment rooms, four consulting rooms and the practice is currently receiving over 2000 new patients per year.
The successful applicant can expect to have the opportunity to undertake a full range of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery procedures, including wisdom teeth and other extractions, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, cosmetic surgery, facial trauma and oncology.
Applicants for this outstanding career opportunity should have extensive clinical experience in dentoalveolar surgery and dental implant surgery. Additional skills in orthognathic surgery and cosmetic surgery are desirable. The successful applicant will display excellent communication skills and be ethical, empathetic, motivated, responsible and reliable.
Candidates must be eligible for registration with the Dental Practice Board of Victoria. Combined dental and medical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
A competitive remuneration package, including a generous relocation allowance, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The appointment will be for an initial period of five years, with a view to extend. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity for partnership or ownership if mutually agreed.
